Testimonials
I have been involved in the Skillful Means work from an organizational perspective and a personal perspective. The benefits that I have derived have been tremendous. Having come into an organization that had been operating in crisis mode for several years, I knew I needed an intervention model that would make this transition as smooth as possible. I had been exposed to Skillful Means work through a previous workshop that helped me make a personal transition and knew that their methods were the exact thing needed to develop a "winning team" and to lead the organization to new heights. Skillful means has given me and my staff the structures we need to get the organization on the road to success. Without this intervention, it would have taken a very long time to get the results we have seen in the short three months that e have been working together.
- Paula McCoy, Executive Director of the North Carolina Minority Support Center
Skillful Means enabled us to analyze familiar obstacles in new ways. My directors and managers all enrolled in this experiential program. It brought us deeper knowledge of ourselves, and a better means for productivity in our professional and personal lives.
- Almir Neto, CEO for Latin America of Compass Food and Catering Services
Skillful Means is the best Return on Investment for our staff that we have been involved with. It gave my staff the tools to communicate, listen, and build teams that work together toward common goals.
- Dr. Saundra H. Spillman, COO of nine Assisted Living communities in North Carolina.
What I found so valuable about the Skillful Means Management method, and what I carried away from it,was a keen awareness of the need to listen for what is beneath the surface, both in my own thoughts and in the "noise" that confronts one in one's dealing with other individuals, both singly and collectively, and with institutions. It is a skill and habit of mind that must be continually developed, and even this is no guarantee that one will draw sound inferences from what one has "heard", much less formulate and execute appropriate plans of actions. But it is a start, and an indispensable precondition.
- Ralph Hexter, Executive Dean, College of Letters & Sciences, University of California, Berkeley
Skillful Means was a powerful training that has lasted. Thank you for contributing so significantly to the development and effectiveness of our team.
- Project Hope funded by FEMA to give aid to Florida hurricanes survivors. Maite Roca, Project Manager for the Palm Beach site
Thanks to Arnaud Maitland, students in my advanced M.B.A. course in Organizational Change experienced first-hand the skills and knowledge to tap into their inner wealth. Mr. Maitland practices what he preaches, and has a keen sensitivity for tuning into each individual's needs for development. I highly recommend using the Skillful Means approach in both academia and in management practice.
