The Skillful Means Approach
Ancient Wisdom for Modern Times

Skillful Means is a contemporary body of knowledge drawn from an ancient Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Introduced to the West in 1976 by the Tibetan Lama Tarthang Tulku, Skillful Means speaks directly to the Western mind and heart. Through the ages these practices have proven to further the evolution of individuals and organizations.

Skillful Means activates dormant knowledge that, once awakened, benefits every aspect of our personal and professional lives. Such positive knowledge in action aligns both heart and spirit with whatever we are doing. The results of our work mirror our state of mind, reflecting our dedication to our highest goals.

Skillful Means allows individuals to get to the root of problems and conflicts, and creates avenues for lasting solutions. It teaches us to master the energy of time from moment to moment in a nourishing way, enabling us to enjoy our lives more fully. We begin to perceive and experience that we create our lives.

Skillful Means empowers individuals and organizations to evolve to their highest potential, continually improving the quality of their actions and results.

This enriches their lives and keeps their environment vital and generative.
The knowledge that shapes the art of working is about time and quality. What productivity, efficiency and profit are for the organization, are happiness, well-being and a life worth living in the eyes of the worker.
